I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be an artist. My parents supported my desire and encouraged my growth with private art lessons. When it came time for college, they took me to various art schools across the country to help me make a decision.
I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where I earned my bachelor's degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. I applied to the University of Washington and the University of Oregon for graduate school. While I received scholarships to both of the schools in the northwest, my ultimate choice was the University of Washington. Once I had earned my master's degree, I was free to create and able to enjoy the process of making art again.
Currently, Sue Anne works in her home based studio. In addition she teaches art appreciation and drawing at Collin College in McKinney, Texas.
